Roses are blooming – A Studio Bouquet!

I love spring and all the flowers that bloom.  As I was rushing out to the mailbox this morning to mail out my latest design projects  (sewing designs for a magazine), I “stopped to smell the roses” literally! My Knock Out roses are really starting to bloom.  I couldn’t resist – I picked a bouquet for my studio so that I could enjoy them while I worked.  Since these roses bloom profusely until almost Thanksgiving (at least here in the deep south!), I will be able to pick bouquets for the next 5 or 6 months.

I wish for each of you a bouquet of roses!

  1. Wow These roses are beautiful. It is not spring in Chicago, cold and rainy days continue. Small signs of spring but we are all missing the beautiful colors of the flowers and sunshine. Happy Spring!

  2. THose are lovely! We can only grow the very hardy wild looking types up here in northern Maine. I tried planting a tea rose variety next to our porch steps last fall where is would have shelter from the north winds just to see if it would make it. It’s too soon to tell yet if it still lives. We still have snow on north facing places and plenty under the trees. No green in the grass till mid May. Give that bouquet a good sniff for me!
